Walking House !

A House that Walks !

A new prototype house walked around the campus of the Wysing Arts Centre in Cambridgeshire, England.

The eco-friendly house is powered by solar cells and minature windmills, and comes with a kitchen, a composting toilet, a system for collecting rain water, one bed, a wood stove for CO2 neutral heating, a rear opening that forms a stairway entrance, and six legs.

Image of a waling house A collaborative effort between MIT and the Danish design collective N55 , the house walks about 5 km an hour similar to the walking speed of a human.

The legs require a software algorithm to calculate the movement and position of the legs to provide
stability over varying terrain.

The house can turn, move forward or backwards, or change height as required and can be programmed with GPS waypoints for traveling to destinations.

Fastest Motor

World's Fastest Motor

A new motor developed by researchers at ETH Zurich's Department of Power Electronics and marketed by the Swiss company, Celeroton, can spin in excess of 1 million revolutions per minute.

As a comparison, collapsed stars spin at 60,000 rpms, a blender at about 30,000 and high performance engines at around 10,000 rpms.

The matchbook-sized motor has a titatnium shell, ultra-thin wiring and a trade secret iron formulated cylinder. The need for smaller electronic devices requires smaller holes, which means smaller, faster, more efficient drills.

Bacteria In Chicken

Researchers from Hyderabad have isolated Helicobacter pullorum bacterium in chicken that may be source of transmission of the multidrug resistance pathogen to humans.

This is the first evidence on prevalence and isolation of H. pullorum multidrug resistance bacterium from broilers and free-range chicken sold in Indian markets.

What is Helicobacter pullorum?

Helicobacter pullorum is a pathogen commonly found in the liver and gut of poultry birds including chickens. It is untreatable and may be cancer-causing. It is being suspected that H. pullorum is resistant wide range of antibiotics such as fluoroquinolones, cephalosporins,   sulfonamides and macrolides

What are ill effects on human health?

Infected chicken with Helicobacter pullorum bacterium when consumed are known to cause gastrointestinal infections in humans.  Besides, Helicobacter pullorum is known to produce a cancercausing agent called cytolethal distending toxin. This toxin damages the DNA and interferes with the cell cycle. Since this multidrug resistance bacterium also infects the liver, it increases the risk of cancer in the organ.

Richest Actor of Hollywood

10. Adam Sandler – $340 million :

The comedian, writer, and producer has been pumping out movies nonstop. He tends to be an unpredictable hit or miss with critics. But he has steadily been making money with movies like Grown Ups and Pixels. According to Forbes, the actor gives a $80 million fee to theatrical distributors for his movies. Due to that he is the tenth of the richest actors in Hollywood.

9. Keanu Reeves – $350 million :

This one might be a more of a surprise since his fame was much higher in the ’90s. But the actor was in huge hits including Speed and The Matrix saga. For the latter he was paid $126 million thanks to also getting a percentage of sales. Although he hasn’t been much on the radar, he is still acting. His most recent success was John Wick in 2014, which is now getting a sequel.

8. Clint Eastwood – $370 million :

The director, actor, and producer has been working in the industry for quite a long time. His work includes Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, and Unforgiven. The last time he acted was in 2012 in Trouble with the Curve. But he has been keeping busy directing and producing. That has left with him with a pretty hefty bank account along with four Oscar wins.

7. Bill Cosby – $380 million :

The comedian and actor is mostly known for his work on The Cosby Show and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. He also acted and created A Different World and made more shows off his name. Until recently he was still getting a lot of checks from syndication and was making public appearances, so he still is in the top 10 of the richest in Hollywood.

6. Tom Hanks – $390 million :

The respected actor starred in classics like Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Toy Story, and The Green Mile. He is showing no signs of stopping yet in his career. He has won two Oscars and has been nominated three times. One of those was for Forrest Gump, which he made $70 million from thanks to getting a percentage of sales. Given his impressive accomplishments he has made it into the top 10 of the richest men in the industry.

5. Jack Nicholson – $400 million :

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the actor on screen. He hasn’t officially retired, but he doesn’t seem that interested in acting. His last movie was in 2010 with How Do You Know. But he has had some great movies on his resume including The Shining, The Departed, and Terms of Endearment. His best paying gig was 1989’s Batman, which he was paid $60 million due to getting a percentage of sales. He also won three Oscars and was nominated nine times. So it’s pretty understandable that he might just want to rest and enjoy himself now.

4. Tyler Perry – $450 million :

The actor, director, writer, and producer has certainly come a long way from being homeless. He got his start writing plays, and went on to turn them into movies. Thanks to his successful Madea movies and television series For Better or Worse, If Loving You Is Wrong, and The Haves and the Have Nots he is now a very rich man. He might not have any Oscar nominations, but his bank account matches another successful actor.

3. Johnny Depp – $450 million :

The actor is a long time partner of Tim Burton. He has been the lead of many of his movies including Edward Scissorhands, Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Alice in Wonderland. However, his best paying gig isn’t with his good friend. The actor was paid $185 million for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. He tends to be a chameleon with his looks for roles. The hard work has paid off making him tied with Tyler Perry in net worth. He, however, also has three Oscar nominations unlike his fellow actor.

2. Tom Cruise – $480 million :

The action star’s most famous movies include Top Gun, Mission: Impossible and Jerry Maguire. Although he’s been slowing down on making movies he’s still working. Some of them are sequels to his previous work, but others are new action movies. He’s well known for doing his own crazy stunts, and he’s still at it. He is also reportedly the highest paid actor for one role due to being paid $290 million throughout the Mission Impossible saga. This is probably one reason, along with his star power, why he’s the second richest actor in the game.

1. Jerry Seinfeld — $820 million :

The comedian and writer is mostly known for his show, Seinfeld. The show had nine seasons and reruns are on pretty much all the time. Since then the actor has created the shows The Marriage Ref and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Along with that, Seinfeld also had endorsement deals including 2008’s Microsoft ads for which he was paid $10 milllion to do. All of this basically leads to his net worth crushing everyone else in Hollywood.

Facebook's record

Facebook is probably the most used social media application by the people . As you may know that facebook  has achieved the figure of 1 billion users in the world. It has many records in it's name and here is the one of the latest facebook's record.

Facebook’s Connectivity Lab has set a world record transmitting at nearly 20 Gbps for 13.2 kilometers using Milli Meter Wave (MMW) technology.

The Connectivity Lab achieved a data rate of nearly 20 Gbps in a point-to-point land-based test from a mountaintop in Malibu, California to a building rooftop in Woodland Hills in United States. The line-of-sight distance for the point-to-point test was of 13.2 km.

With this Facebook broke the previous record set in May 2016 by German scientists of 6 Gbps data transmission over 37 km using MMW technology.  Earlier in February 2016, a team of Japanese researchers had hit 100 Gbps by batching multiple 10 Gbps signals but not in the MMW spectrum.

What is Millimeter waves (MMW)?

Millimeter waves (MMW) is electromagnetic waves with the wavelength from 1 to 10 millimeters. This waves share the features of microwaves and far infrared waves since its wavelength ranges between these two waves.

MMW application in communications: It is generally used for point-to-point transmission technology. Basically the band of radio spectrum between 30 Ghz and 300 Ghz of MMW is used for this purpose. It is mainly used for connecting internet service to distribution points. It is difficult and uneconomical to use MMW for individual residential connections.

WhatsApp tricks

There are some of the tricks of the most used social app i.e. WhatsApp , which you may never had known . So , here are some of the tricks of the WhatsApp which will help you for the privacy in your WhatsApp account . Hope that you may like .

1. Schedule Messages :

Are you forgetful? Fed up of overlooking your parents’ anniversary or your sister’s birthday? Fear not, WhatsApp can help.

You’ll need to download a third-party app for this – if you’re on Android you should check out Seebye Scheduler ROOT (free), iOS users should look to Message Scheduler for WhatsApp ($0.99 on Cydia). You’ll need either a rooted or jailbroken device.

2. Supercharge Your Privacy :

Two blue ticks. A boon to usefulness, a blow to privacy.

Sure, if you are only chatting to friends and family it might not be important, but what about if your number is added to a massive group full of strangers for a conference or wedding? You probably don’t want everyone seeing your face and being alerted when you are typing.

The solution is to edit the visibility of your Last Seen status, Profile Photo, Status, and Read Receipts.
To do so, head to Options > Settings > Account > Privacy and make the necessary amendments. You can choose whether everybody, your contacts, or nobody sees your details (though read receipts are just on/off).

3. use WhatsApp on web :

WhatsApp Web is the best creation since...WhatsApp itself. It’s not an entirely new feature , but their gloating days are over, as it's now available on iOS too.

How : To enable inconspicuous chatting on the web while you do your work, all you have to do is go to Settings and tap on WhatsApp Web. Then head to web.whatsapp.com on your computer and scan the QR code that appears using your phone. Commence chatting on the sly without downloading anything. Handy, and also very, very distracting .

4. stop people from accidentally reading your message :

Theoretically, all messages on WhatsApp are private - but not when you leave your phone on the table, and a new message notification pops up. How many times have you unintentionally read someone’s message just because you’ve curiously looked over when their phone screen blinked to life with a new message notification? Admit it, we’ve all done it, and sometimes read something we've regretted.

How : Go to Settings, then Notifications, and disable Show Preview. Now you can gossip in peace, without anyone accidentally reading your conversations by glancing casually at your phone when a notification comes in. Your notification still reveals who has just messaged you, without divulging any of its super secret contents.

India's First Banking Robot

India’s first banking robot named Lakshmi was launched by the Kumbakonam-based City Union Bank (CUB) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.  Lakshmi will be first on-site huamanoid (robot) in India.
Currently, CUB has readied only one version of huamanoid banker and but is planning to deploy 25-30 robots at key branches by end of year if Lakshmi proves a hit with customers.

Key Facts:

  • Lakshmi is artificial intelligence powered robot . It can speak English , gesture and engage in a life-like manner in conversation.
  • The robot can interact with customers on more than 125 subjects including account balance and interest rates on loans .
  • It will not voice the sensitive financial information like account details rather display it discreetly on it's screen .

What is artificial intelligence?

Artificial intelligence is the branch of computer science concerned with making computers behave like humans. In contrast to normal hardware and software, artificial intelligence enables a machine to perceive and respond to its changing environment. The artificial intelligence machines learn automatically like humans during their processing by assimilating large volumes of information.

Most Dangerous Roads

Here are the names of the most dangerous roads you may have ever visited :
  • Zoji La
  • Kinaur Road
  • Khardung La
  • Leh - Manali Highway
  • Nathu La

1. Zoji la :

You must have fantasised a drive on this road due to its scenic surroundings, but the Zoji La is easily one of the toughest mountain roads to cross. Located at an altitude of more than 11,000 feet, this pass falls on the way to Leh from Srinagar. Naturally, the views that one gets while travelling on this are simply stunning, to say the least. But at the same time, it is the second highest pass in India and poses a lot of dangers, including muddy roads, heavy snow storms, regular landslides, and strong winds.

2. Kinaur road :

Located in the southwestern part of Himachal Pradesh, this road has been literally carved out of rocks, making it narrow and extremely to cross. Often used by those travelling to the Kinnaur district, some parts of this road are really scary due to the sharp blind turns, and the lack of space for vehicles from both directions to pass through -- accidents are often reported from this region.

3. Khardung la :

Even though the Indian Army-staffed Border Roads Organisation (BRO) had worked hard to make a road which is being used by thousands of tourists every year, you just can't strike it off from the list of India's most dangerous roads -- after all, it is the highest motorable road in the world at an altitude of 18,380 feet. And with that, comes its own dangers. The dangers associated with such a high mountain road, it poses human dangers with the air being thin, the weather being cold, and oxygen levels being low.

4. Leh-manali highway :

You must have fantasised travelling on this road since you saw Kareena and Shahid merrily making their way through this one in Jab We Met. No doubt, the landscape is as scenic as you can visualise, but it is also dangerous to travel on this road due to a 479km-long route that is surrounded by lofty mountains and covered with snow in various parts, making it one of the most trickiest roads in India.

5. Nathu la :

You can visit this only with proper permits in place, which you can get from Gangtok. A popular tourist destination in Sikkim, the pass is located at an altitude of about 14,000 feet. While heavy snow on the route makes it tricky, the turns are precarious, and there are landslides blocking the road during monsoons.

Most Expensive Cars

Here are the most expensive cars for the car lovers in the world
  • Mercedes - Maybach S600 Guard
  • Audi A8L Security
  • Rolls - Royce Phantom Series II EWB
  • Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster
  • Rolls - Royce Dawn

1. Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard :

Price: Rs 10.5 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

With its staggering Rs 10.5 crore price tag, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard grabs the top position in the list of the most expensive cars on sale in the country.

As its maker's tagline -- The Best or Nothing -- goes, the S600 will not only pamper you with luxury, but it will cocoon you in safety too.

The Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard is certified as having the highest ballistics protection level right now -- the VR9.

In Merc's own words, it is 'the safest car on earth'.

To make sure you are never short of power, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard is powered by a thumping 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine, capable of producing 523PS of max power and 830Nm of peak torque.

The vehicle rides on Michelin PAX run-flat tyres and comes with Mercedes-Benz's Airmatic suspension system.

2. Audi A8L Security :

Price: Rs 9.15 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi and Mumbai)

The Audi A8L Security, the arch rival of the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard, is the second most expensive car on sale in India.

It was launched at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo at a price of Rs 9.15 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi and Mumbai).

Like the Merc, the Audi is also certified for VR9 class ballistic protection. So it basically fulfils the most stringent requirements for civilian high-security vehicles right now.

The Audi A8L Security comes with two engine options -- a 4.0-litre TFSI biturbo V8 petrol, which has a power output of 440PS and produces 600Nm of torque, and a naturally aspirated W12 FSI that produces over 500PS of power and 625Nm of torque.

Its top speed is electronically limited to 210 kmph and it runs on emergency run-flat tyres.

3. Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II EWB :

Price: Rs 7.50 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

Rolls-Royce has been synonymous with class and stature ever since the company came into existence. It was -- and still is -- the ride of the royals around the world.

Technically, the Phantom should top this list since the two sedans above are armoured versions of their respective stock offerings.

The Phantom is often touted as the 'best car in the world'. It was the base upon which the renaissance of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars was built during the BMW era.

The current seventh-generation model was launched on January 1, 2003 -- almost thirteen years ago -- and its production will come to an end this year on December 31.

The automaker has already announced the next-generation Phantom, which will be based on next-gen aluminum architecture that will also underpin all of the company's upcoming vehicles, including the first-ever, much-anticipated SUV, presently codenamed Cullinan.

4. Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster :

Price: Rs 6.55 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

It is the only sports supercar in this list!

Like all Lamborghinis, this raging Italian beast is named after a fighting bull, and comes at an astonishing price of Rs 6.55 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster was launched in India in 2013 and features detachable carbon fibre split roof panels.

Like the coupe, the Roadster is powered by a roaring 6.5-litre naturally aspirated (probably last of its kind!) petrol engine, generating a monstrous 700PS+ of max power and 689Nm of peak torque.

5. Rolls-Royce Dawn :

Price: Rs 6.25 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai)

Yet another position in the top five is held by the famed British luxury marquee -- Roll-Royce.

The Dawn was recently launched in India at a whopping price of Rs 6.25 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai), making it the most expensive drop-top in the country.

Most Dangerous Computer Virus

Computer Virus is probably the term by which you get scared . Well probably there are many types of computer virus in this technological era . But also there are most dangerous computer virus over the world in the computers or laptops .

Well here are the 5 most dangerous virus :

  • ILOVEYOU
  • Melissa
  • My Doom
  • Code Red
  • Sasser
1. ILOVEYOU :

This was perhaps the most dangerous computer virus ever created that in the form of a worm — it was a standalone program capable of replicating itself. Known as ILOVEYOU, this virus initially travel the Internet by e-mail and managed to crash PCs all across the world. To make it even more alluring, the subject of the e-mail said that the message was a love letter from a secret admirer. An attachment in the e-mail was what caused all the trouble. The original worm had the file name of LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs. The moment someone opened the file, the virus emailed itself to the first 50 contacts available in the PC’s Windows address book. The virus caused a total damage of around $10 billion affecting almost 10% of the world’s PCs connected to the Internet.

 2. Melissa :

Melissa was the first mass-mailing macro virus for the new age of e-mailing which became the breaking news across the world on March 26, 1999. Based on a Microsoft Word macro and built by David L, Melissa was spread in the form of an email attachment by the name “list.doc.” When the attachment was clicked upon, the virus replicates itself and seeks for the Microsoft Outlook address book to e-mail itself to the first 50 names on the list with a message, “Here is that document you asked for…don’t show anyone else. ;-)” Later on, FBI arrested David L and slapped him with a fine of $5000 for unleashing the fastest virus of its time.

3. My Doom :

My Doom explored its way to the malware world on 26th January 2004 and sent a shockwave around the world, as it scattered exponentially via e-mail through email with random addresses of senders and subject lines. My Doom destroyed the cyber world by activating a tremendous denial of service attack that infected close to about two million PCs. It transmitted itself in a particularly deceitful manner through e-mail as what receiver would first reckon to be a bounced error message as it reads “Mail Transaction Failed.” But, as soon as the message is clicked upon, the attachment is executed and the worm is transferred to email addresses found in the user’s address book. The damage caused by this fastest-spreading mass mailer worm was a whopping $38 billion.

4. Code Red :

It debuted in late 2001 taking advantage of the Microsoft Internet Information Server’s flaw. The variations of the virus plagued the Internet for several months. The interesting thing about this deadly virus is, it did not require you to open an e-mail attachment or run a file; it just required an active Internet connection with which it ruined the Web page that you opened by displaying a text “Hacked by Chinese!” And in less than a week’s time, “Code Red” brought down more than 400,000 servers including the White House web server. This virus caused a total damage of approximately $2.6 billion dollars by hitting almost one million PCs.

5. Sasser :

The 2004 worm virus affected Windows OS primarily, and was devastating to many critical infrastructures. It didn’t spread through e-mail unlike other viruses. Instead, once the virus infected a computer, it looked for other vulnerable systems. It contacted those systems and instructed them to download the virus. The virus would scan random IP addresses to find potential victims. The virus also altered the victim’s operating system in a way, making it even hard to reset without cutting the power. Sasser functioned by attacking the security controller Local Security Authority Subsystem Service, as it had a buffer overflow vulnerability. The worm affected hospitals, public transportation, airlines, news agencies and much more. After one million infections, there was an estimated 18 billion dollars in damage recorded.

First Android phone

World’s first Android phone

Phones have come a long way since Innocenzo Manzetti played around with the idea of a “speaking telegraph” in 1844. Development of the landline telephone came in leaps and bounds but it is the mobile phone that truly captured a global audience.

The first mobile phones were produced by Bell System for use in cars only, introduced in 1946 on their Mobile Telephone Service in St. Louis, Missouri. The first call on a handheld mobile phone was made on April, 3 1973 by Motorola’s Martin Cooper to his rival, Joel S. Engel of Bell Labs. Nicknamed “the brick” the first mobile phones weighed 2 lb and cost $3,995.

As with most inventions, it takes a while  before a product reaches an acceptable cost factor for both the producer and the consumer. Early mobile networks were patchy and phones were expensive, bulky and less than attractive.

When the 1G network launched in 1983, the phones were still too big for comfort and suffered from short battery life. By the time 2G was introduced, in 1991, the phones were better and the first smartphones were introduced. But it was only after 2001, when 3G cellular technology was launched, that the mobile phone market really took off. Networks were faster and phones were smaller and more affordable. The entry-level Nokia 1100, launched in 2003, was snapped up 1 million times a week to eventually become the world’s most popular cell phone with over 200 million units sold. By 2011, Apple had sold more than 100 million iPhone smartphones.

Introducing Android – a smart move

Android, Inc. was founded in October 2003 by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White. Google bought it in 2005 and the Linux-based Android operating system was unveiled in 2007. The rest – as the Google history itself – is a remarkable piece of history. People loved Android.
By 2012, Android enjoyed 1.5 million activations per day. . There are almost a billion Android apps available. Some 25 billion apps have been downloaded from the Android app site, Google Play.

HTC Dream By 2013, mobile phones have replaced watches and cameras at the primary time tellers and for taking photographs and videos.

Many users have more than one phone or mobile device, resulting in more than 6 billion mobile subscriptions worldwide, almost half of these being smartphone subscriptions. Android is found on 75% of those smartphones in use.

But do you remember first phone to run on Android?
The world’s first Android phone was the HTC Dream – it came to the market in October 2008 as the T-Mobile G1 in the USA and, when signing a two-year service agreement, sold for $179.

World's first programmer

ADA LOVELACE

Augusta Ada King-Noel, Countess of Lovelace was an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's early mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. Her notes on the engine include what is recognised as the first algorithm intended to be carried out by a machine. As a result, she is often regarded as the first computer programmer.

Throughout her illnesses, she continued her education. Her mother's obsession with rooting out any of the insanity of which she accused Byron was one of the reasons that Ada was taught mathematics from an early age. She was privately schooled in mathematics and science by William Frend, William King, and Mary Somerville, the noted researcher and scientific author of the 19th century. One of her later tutors was the mathematician and logician Augustus De Morgan. From 1832, when she was seventeen, her mathematical abilities began to emerge, and her interest in mathematics dominated the majority of her adult life. In a letter to Lady Byron, De Morgan suggested that her daughter's skill in mathematics could lead her to become "an original mathematical investigator, perhaps of first-rate eminence".

Lovelace often questioned basic assumptions by integrating poetry and science. While studying differential calculus, she wrote to De Morgan:

I may remark that the curious transformations many formulae can undergo, the unsuspected and to a beginner apparently impossible identity of forms exceedingly dissimilar at first sight, is I think one of the chief difficulties in the early part of mathematical studies. I am often reminded of certain sprites and fairies one reads of, who are at one's elbows in one shape now, and the next minute in a form most dissimilar.

Lovelace died at the age of 36 – the same age that her father had died – on 27 November 1852, from uterine cancer probably exacerbated by bloodletting by her physicians. The illness lasted several months, in which time Annabella took command over whom Ada saw, and excluded all of her friends and confidants. Under her mother's influence, she had a religious transformation and was coaxed into repenting of her previous conduct and making Annabella her executor. She lost contact with her husband after she confessed something to him on 30 August which caused him to abandon her bedside. What she told him is unknown. She was buried, at her request, next to her father at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire

In 1840, Babbage was invited to give a seminar at the University of Turin about his Analytical Engine. Luigi Menabrea, a young Italian engineer, and the future Prime Minister of Italy, wrote up Babbage's lecture in French, and this transcript was subsequently published in the Bibliothèque universelle de Genève in October 1842. Babbage's friend Charles Wheatstone commissioned Ada Lovelace to translate Menabrea's paper into English. She then augmented the paper with notes, which were added to the translation. Ada Lovelace spent the better part of a year doing this, assisted with input from Babbage. These notes, which are more extensive than Menabrea's paper, were then published in Taylor's Scientific Memoirs under the initialism AAL.

Ada Lovelace's notes were labelled alphabetically from A to G. In note G, she describes an algorithm for the Analytical Engine to compute Bernoulli numbers. It is considered the first published algorithm ever specifically tailored for implementation on a computer, and Ada Lovelace has often been cited as the first computer programmer for this reason. The engine was never completed so her program was never tested.

In 1953, more than a century after her death, Ada Lovelace's notes on Babbage's Analytical Engine were republished. The engine has now been recognised as an early model for a computer and her notes as a description of a computer and software.
